Sany quietly rolled out its first compact track loader late last year, with the Chinese manufacturer calling it a natural complement to its mini excavator line.
The ST230V was designed from the ground up by Sany. It has a 73-horsepower Yanmar engine, a 2,430-pound rated operating capacity and a 120.5-inch bucket pin height at maximum lift.
Tim Collie, director of strategic accounts for Sany America, gave Equipment World a closer look at the 10,318-pound vertical lift CTL at the 2025 ARA Show in Las Vegas. Check it out in our video above.
The spacious cab features a rollup door and low entry point for easy access and good visibility to the attachment. Operators can adjust settings and view the standard rearview camera on the 7-inch LCD screen. Auto-temp HVAC, an air suspension seat and pilot controls enhance comfort.
The engine compartment is also fully sealed to keep mud and debris out. A wide opening rear door makes it easy to access daily checkpoints and filters. The cab can tilt up to more than 60 degrees for maintenance.
Undercarriage support rollers are designed with an anti-derailment function, ensuring more stable operation of the front guide wheel, Sany says.
A standard hydraulic quick-coupler-ready design and high-flow auxiliary hydraulics support a variety of attachments. Attachments offered include: auger, six-way dozer blade, low-profile dirt bucket, multipurpose bucket, power rake, trencher, snow blower, pallet forks, scrap grapple, skeleton grapple, snow/light material bucket, angle broom, closed-front rotary brush cutter, open-front rotary brush cutter and pickup broom.
Additional standard features include one-click startup, one-click unlock, a reversing fan and LED lights.
Sany intends to complete its CTL line with smaller and larger models, up to 110 horsepower, in the future. Compact track loaders are the largest construction equipment product category by new financed sales volume, with more than 71,200 units sold in 2024, according to Fusable’s EDA equipment finance data.
