Arc Armor PAPR provides comfort and safety

Miller’s Arc Armor Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) provides comfort and safety in high welding fume environments.

The product features a lithium ion battery, which has no memory retention from frequent charging that is associated with nickel hydride batteries. The lithium battery can be recharged at any time during its eight-hour charge cycle without reducing battery life.

The PAPR weighs 3.25 pounds and comes with a belt and shoulder strap. The helmet can be purchased with or without auto-darkening. The helmet uses a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter, which removes the contaminant and supplies purified air to the helmet. The PAPR also features both audible and vibrating alarms to notify of low airflow or low battery life.

The PAPR offers dual fan speeds to compensate for workplace temperature fluctuations. The high speed (200 liters per minute) increases cooling effects in the helmet while the low speed (170 liters per minute) exceeds standard requirements.

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) certified the PAPR with a protection factor of 25.
