Trimble’s new Construction Manager version 2.4 software update features Google Maps API Premier and a new GPS locator unit designed for harsh construction site environments.
The Google Maps street, terrain, hybrid and satellite imagery map construction sites and track assets such as vehicles, equipment and personnel. Version 2.4 uses high-resolution imagery to locate assets on sites and a map to locate assets traveling between sites. The update also allows managers to create site boundaries to keep up with assets entering and exiting sites.
The 2.4 update generates asset reports to keep managers up-to-date on state road tax reporting, idle time, mileage and sites visited. It also allows identification of assets with icons for simplified use.
Trimble Construction Manager v2.4 comes standard with any of the base Trimble Construction services plans. The free software update is available for download on Trimble’s website.
