Trimble and Vico Software to integrate BIMs

Trimble and Vico Software have integrated Vico’s 5D virtual construction suite with Trimble layout solutions. Contractors can create Building Information Models (BIMs) in Vico’s virtual construction software and then export the data to Trimble’s field layout solution. BIMs eliminate manually scaling distances, calculating angles from plans, turning angles with theodolites and pulling tapes to measure distances.
