Missouri DOT to allow heavier than normal aggregate truckloads to help with flood relief

The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is allowing through the end of May heavier than normal truckloads of rock, sand and gravel on the state’s highways to allow for the raw materials to be used in repairs of roads and other infrastructure following flooding from recent storms.

“While the waiver is in effect, private and for-hire motor carriers may carry up to 10 percent more than their licensed weight on Missouri highways,” MoDOT says.
