No one was injured, but the accused shooter is facing menacing and reckless endangerment charges, according to the Putnam Daily Voice.
The Jan. 20 incident began after Santino Pietrosani and a fellow Putnam County Highway Department worker got into an argument over a ladder at a construction site in the county.
Pietrosani then began firing several 3-inch nails at his coworker. He never struck the man, but one of the nails nearly hit his coworker in the head.
Pietrosani has a temporary order of protection against him and could face up to one year in jail and $1,000 for each charge.
