Better Roads braves the cold for 2 new Dynapac paver introductions

Kerry Clines, Better Roads‘ contributing editor and senior editor for BR’s sister publication Aggregates Manager, braved freezing temps and lots of snow to attend a press event for Dynapac’s new paver line for the North American market in mid-December.

Introduced to dealers at Dynapac’s Garland, Texas, facility in December 2009,: the F1000T tracked and F1000W wheeled 10-foot-wide asphalt pavers– the first two models in the product line – will make their official debut at World of Asphalt in February 2010.

Here’s a full report from Clines on the event:

On a cold, blustery December day in Garland, Texas, Dynapac introduced its new line of highway class asphalt pavers designed specifically for the North American market with input from contractors and dealers. According to the company, the new pavers offer reliability, maximum performance, and operator safety and comfort, all at a low cost.

Production of the F1000T rubber-tracked, 10-foot paver will begin Jan. 2, 2010. This easy-to-operate paver offers simple, operator-friendly controls that are grouped for convenience. The controls offer a multi-function display, paving speed control, and a single-lever speed control for forward and reverse.

Vision is improved with dual swing-out operation stations, a flat operator area, and a clear view of the auger and asphalt. Handrails on the platform offer greater operator and maintenance safety.

According to the company, no daily maintenance or lubrication is required. Other maintenance features include ground-level fueling, easy access panels, removable top cover, and a wiring harness designed for easy service.
