Caterpillar has named James Halloran California regulatory affairs manager for its large power systems division. Halloran will work as a liaision with local and state regulators, environmental groups, user groups and Caterpillar resources in an attempt to ensure a smooth transition to clean diesel technology. Halloran, formerly truck engine marketing supervisor for Caterpillar on-highway engines, was instrumental in the launch of ACERT, the company’s emissions reduction solution. He will also work closely with Cat dealers and field personnel.
