Grammer AG cuts jobs

Grammer AG, producer of components for commercial vehicles, has eliminated 227 jobs at its locations in the Amberg, Germany, region. The company has reduced 1,000 jobs worldwide since the beginning of the year blaming a significant reduction in order volume for the cutbacks. Additionally, the Grammer executive board is expecting a 25- to 30-percent decline in revenue for Grammer Group in the first half of 2009.
