Peterbilt and Kenworth both announced last week they would donate a truck to the government of New Orleans. Peterbilt’s Denton, Texas, manufacturing facility is donating a Model 378 equipped with a dump body to aid in the cleanup efforts, while Kenworth is donating a 2006 T800 dump truck. The Peterbilt truck was set to leave for New Orleans last week, and the Kenworth truck will be delivered to Kenworth of South Louisiana, located in Harahan, near New Orleans.
