Case N Series Backhoe Updates 3 1920

Case Construction Equipment has launched a major update for its N Series backhoe loader lineup that brings several meaningful upgrades to these machines.

Leading off this 2019 model year update is a feature Case says is an industry exclusive. It’s called PowerBoost and allows the operator to get a “momentary boost of increased hydraulic power” at the push of a button on the backhoe’s left-hand joystick.

Case says PowerBoost is useful when digging in tough conditions like hard clay, rocky soil or through frost. Augmenting PowerBoost is PowerLift, which provides an increase in lifting power comparable to that of a mid-size excavator. This power increase comes at a lower engine rpm for smoother lifting and craning operations, Case says.

You can watch a video rundown that illustrates the new features below.

A major new option for these machines is a new factory-installed hydraulic thumb. The thumb is available on all N Series extendahoe models and is compatible with either a mechanical or hydraulic bucket coupler. The new extendahoe models include the mounting provision for the new thumb, allowing customers to add it after purchase without needing any additional welding.
