Rugby introduces lightweight SR-4016 subframe scissor hoist for trucks

Updated Mar 9, 2016

Rugby scissor hoistRugby Manufacturing, a Truck Bodies and Equipment International (TBEI) brand, launched its new SR-4016 subframe scissor hoist for trucks at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

The hoist, which replaces Rugby’s HR520 and HR540 models, is 20 percent lighter than comparable equipment, the company says, and offers more payload capacity. It is lifecycle tested at a full-rated capacity of 7.7 to 17 tons. The SR-4016 is available for work trucks with body lengths from 8- to 14-feet.

Jeff Duchscher, Rugby general manager, says the new hoist was designed with the needs of the customer and installer in mind.

“With the new design we’re reducing install time,” he says. “We’ve already had some out to our distributors and they’re saving an average of 15 to 20 minutes an install with this new hoist. A lot of it is just due to some of the design features of how it mounts to the chassis.”
