Skyjack, a division of Linamar Corporation, unveiled its SJ30 ARJE boom and SJIII 4740 scissor lifts at last week’s Rental Show.

The tallest DC electric scissor in Skyjack’s lineup, the SJIII 4740 has a maximum working height of 45.3 feet with a maximum weight capacity of 500 pounds.

Drivable at full height, the scissor has a proportional controls for drive and lift functions and a 3-foot standard roll-out extension deck. With solid rubber, non-marking tires, the unit has variable speed front wheel hydraulic drive 25 percent gradeability.

The scissor’s steering system gives operators a 21-inch turning radius. Bolted cross brazes make the unit rigid, even when working at full height.

The battery life has been upgraded and a motor controller ensures increased controllability and reduced recharging times.

The SJ30 ARJE, seen below, boom has a working height of 35.6 feet and a maximum weight capacity of 500 pounds, and has components common with other Skyjack booms, including the company’s number-and color-coded wiring system.

Other dimensions include an up-and-over clearance of 13.1 feet, a 60-inch inside turning radius and a wind rating of 28 mph.
